Support groups and Adult Sunday School Classes The following are various support groups that meet in the church:
This is a Christian 12-step group associated with Overcomer's Outreach. This group is designed to help anyone affected directly or indirectly by abuse of any mood altering chemicals or compulsive behavior. All sinners welcome! They meet every Wednesday evening 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm in the church library. Child care is available. Contact the church office for more information @507-235-6407.
If you are between 55 and 101 years (older people welcome too), and desire some fellowship, come join our Christian support group for lonely people. We are spiritual, but nondenominational. We do a variety of activities, make new friends, learn new things and help each other handle the problems of living alone in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Meetings take place every Monday afternoon, at 2:00pm, in the fellowship hall. Contact person: Irene Ziemer, @507-238-2566.
We are a caring group that believes that good friends are the best treasures that life has to offer. We are Christ-led and Christ-fed. If you are 55 years or older we invite you to join us. You do not need to be a member of the church, anyone is welcome. We have several projects, like selling recycled cards to buy flowers for the church. Every third Thursday of the month is 'Activities day'. Sometimes we have an interesting outing, see a video, play table games or just visit and share. Meetings take place the first and third Thursdays of the month. The first Thursday is a morning meeting at 9:00am and the third Thursday is at 2:00pm, in the fellowship hall. This support group is open to any family member or friend of military personnel, who wants support from other people with the same circumstances. We talk, laugh and cry together. Meetings take place the 1st Thursday of every month, at 7:00pm. Contact person: Tam Plumhoff, @507-238-2806.
This group is open to anyone who has a passion to pray, and who is eager to see God move in mighty ways in peoples lives, in answer to prayer. Prayer meetings take place every Monday at 5:00pm. Contact person: Verona Rock @507-238-2495.
This bible study group typically study scripture, have discussions, share about their lives and pray. People of all ages are welcome to attend this bible study. Sunday school classes are facilitated directly after the Morning Worship Service on Sundays. (Except during Summer schedule.) All adults welcome.
