There are so many opportunities to serve in the church! God has given each one of us unique talents and abilities, and together we form the hands and feet of Christ in this world today. The following opportunities are available:
We currently have two music fellowship teams, they alternate in leading worship during Sunday morning services. Our style of worship can be described as 'contemporary worship'. You are invited to get involved if you want to play an instrument, or sing. The two teams practice on Wednesday evenings, 8:00 pm and Fridays, 4:00 pm. The brokenness of the world in which we live, the sin of others, and our own sinfulness cause various obstacles and forms of devastation in our lives. It is the desire of our church and its prayer ministry to be instruments of God's healing touch, according to biblical principles and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our prayer ministry is offered to members and non-members of our church by trained teams of men and women who are available during the Sunday morning worship service as well as Sunday School, appointments are preferred during Sunday School and required for other times, Monday through Saturday. Those ministering are not licensed counselors, but they do have a passion to see the Lord heal and restore the hurts of people. In addition to study of the biblical accounts of Jesus' healing ministry, training classes have utilized the materials and insights of Francis McNutt, John Wimber, Ed Smith (theophostic ministry), and others in the areas of physical, spiritual, emotional and relational healing. Church members interested in becoming part of the prayer team and anyone wishing to make an appointment for prayer may call the church office, @507-235-6407.
Ushering is one way to serve God, also a way to meet people and serve them. The duties of an usher include helping people to find a place to sit during the worship services, to be alert if people need help, to come early on Sunday mornings, prepared to pass out the bulletins, take count of people, and clean up after the service.
